About

A slightly longer version of the one-page CV.

1.Work

I am a security engineer with ten years of experience across Europe and Asia. Most recently I led information security for NIO in Munich, where the measurable part was a SIEM migration to Microsoft Sentinel — 60 % lower cost, 80 % faster mean time to respond — and the unmeasurable part was security governance across EU and APAC.

My research interest is computation that crosses borders while data does not: at NEC Laboratories Europe I built SGX-based secure AI inference systems; at Alibaba, HomoPAI — a production platform for privacy-preserving machine learning on homomorphic encryption, published at IEEE ICDE 2020. I founded Mayfly to apply the same research commercially: EU AI Act compliance for Chinese AI companies, with MPC, federated learning, TEE, and homomorphic encryption as the technical bridge between jurisdictions.

4.Otherwise

Based in Heidelberg. I organize a weekly poker night for a thirty-member expat community in Munich — the one place where game theory and social dynamics genuinely overlap. The rest of my spare time goes into long-form wikis: attempts to map one domain at a time, end to end, in public.
